I wrote this song after having to play at the same bar/on the same bill with same 21-year-old white guys from the suburbs who all sang with the same breathy/affected 'sensitive guy' vocal styling and wrote the same boring g-chord songs that they'd play like they had just arrived there via a boxcar from the 1930's. And usually they're a nice guy but their girlfriends spam everyone's facebook inbox with their boyfriend's derivative/shitty music, so I got my emotions out by making fun of them in song. There are a lot of jokes, so I guess it's a 'novelty song' which means it doesn't qualify as 'art' or 'real music', enjoy.
lyrics
Well..I got a few friends,
Don't know their names that well, I just call them 'dude' and 'man'
And sometimes I smoke pot,
And I say 'fuckin....' alot,
because I'm stalling, when I can't come up with a thought
So I never end an ellipsis with 'filling in that spot',
I'm not religious, but I'm spiritual!
Can't you hear that in my throat?, Well that's my spirit
Whats the score, yeah? And blah blah blah,
I got a guitar, that's why they call me 'the artist',
Did you not see me at the party last week?
I nailed 'Wonderwall', and then some chick in my jeep,
Oh, it sure was a sight to see,
On the Keystone Light, The moon shined,
And I swear, there's gotta be some irony in there..
(piano solo)
Well, I smoked too many bong-loads and forgot how to breathe!,
Google some kaliedoscope (sp?) tunnels for me!,
Yeah, then we'll do this again,
And I don't know who the fuck I am!,
But I"ll just call myself 'dude' and 'man'
...And this guy DOES want to fight, so why's he hiding??
